Team works that matter

Leading research in sustainable materials.

As the Research Lead at crcCARE and The University of Newcastle, I lead a team that focus on developing innovative, low-cost materials from sustainable minerals to address environmental challenges and enhance agricultural practices.

We are specialised in clays and modified clays, zeolite, diatomite, LDHs, biochar and alike materials and composite. The applications range from contamination remediation, soil improvements, delivery method like fertiliser carrier, aquaculture sustainability such as water health improver, livestock industries such as methane inhibitory feed, disease control in poultry farms.

Our Mission and Vision

We recognise the challenges of conducting research in both academia and industry.
However, we believe excellence in research and engagement must continue. This commitment allows us to think innovatively and test research ideas that make a real difference to society.

Research Impact

“Publish or perish” is no longer a viable way to reflect research impact.
Publication models have changed. We prioritise quality in every paper, report, or communication, regardless of where we publish.
